PLEASE follow the Code though, I don't want to have to ban ye'! THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS FIRST! ~~Although it may look like it, THIS IS NOT A PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ROLEPLAYING SITE! If I see anyone trying to simulate that movie's plotline, you will be punished. =D~~ Posting Rules ~RP posts require a minimum of five good sentences each. I can let it slip every once and a while, but if it is consecutive, I will give you 5 warnings before you are temporarily banned. ~Keep swearing to a minimum. Yes, many people do swear, but let's keep it to a level where you won't kill an old lady. ~Let's keep everything at a... PG-13 rating, shall we? This includes violence, sexual content, language, drug/alcohol use, etc. Rather than making it R, let's keep it okay so that we don't freak people out. ~If you are off the site for two weeks or more without posting away, your account will be deleted. No jokes. Monthly activity checks, also! Registering ~You can make a maximum of SEVEN characters, unless you enter the game pregnant or have a character become pregnant (O_o). ~Keep your names original, and try HARD not to have the same name as someone else. This also includes the gender, skin colour, everything. Let's try varying, shall we? ~Not everyone can play all Pirates. Again, try varying. ~Try to be sort of interesting. Make an interesting history or personality for a character. Null, dull, and void is simply out of the question. ~The only people who don't need a sample RP are staff and anyone with 100 posts or more. Otherwise, I still need a sample. Note: The sample can be from ANY form of writing. ~DO NOT POST YOUR APPLICATION IN THE ACCEPTED BOARD. You must be accepted first. The only reason you should post in the accepted board is if you are staff. If you are staff, you are automatically accepted. Not a Pirate? ~To those whom aren't pirates, you should try to have a job. ~Anyone can travel. You don't have to be a pirate to go to new places, just hop on merchant vessle and they will take you where you want if it is in their paths. ~You can work on any piece of land, not just Port Royal. Claiming a Ship ~To claim a ship, you must fill two requirements. One, you must either be a Pirate or part of the government/trading system. And two, you must be prepared for everything. This includes battle. ~Once all the ships are claimed, there are no more. If you still want to be on the sea, you can be a crewmember on a ship. (To all staff-- please don't add anymore unclaimed ships if you have permisson from the head admin.) ~Captain chooses his/her First Mate. After there are five crewmembers, they MUST choose a first mate. ~You need the name of the ship, and a good description of both what you do and they ship itself. If it is good enough, you will probably get it. Battle ~All ship battles are held in the BATTLE GROUNDS. No where else, please! ~You must have a First Mate and at least three crewmembers to participate in a battle, otherwise you automatically lose. If you challenge with less than the required, it is you who will lose, rather than the other. ~In a battle, each person must have at least one starter post (that's when you arrive, blah blah) and then have a minimum of four action posts each. The other ship chooses the fate of each action made by the attacking ship. It'll be judged on quality, effort, etc; and the winner will be determined by me. The winner gets what they want. ~Can challenge for anything, which includes, the captain, the drew, first mate, the entire ship, treasure, etc, possibly just the glory. ~The losing ship can choose the fate of their ship. If they choose that the ship isn't in good enough condition, the ship must go to the graveyard. ~THE SAME RULES APPLY if you have an on-ground, sword on sword battle. This is only one on one though. Stealing ~Stealing is basically like batteling, except with out the contact. You can do it ship to ship, or ship to land. If it is ship to land, then you actually have to make a thread in the area and then start a fight to take something. ~You must write a guessable riddle of what you want to steal (it can be anything from treasure to a person), and then it is up to the captain's to block what they thing you are trying to steal. ~Blockers have three days to block what you are trying to steal otherwise ye' get what ye' want. ~Both the captain and the First mate of a ship can block things, otherwise it would be too easy. Each con only block one item/person at a time, though. Relationships ~You should know all this. You guys make relationships and choose. But if you're going to... ya know... taw-da (=D), then keep it at a max rating of PG-13. We really don't ned to be that graphic.
